TAIWAN’s prestigious reproductive medical center, Lee Women’s Hospital, has introduced to Filipinos its latest IVF (in vitro fertilization) technology that is said to increase the pregnancy success rate of infertile patients during a reunion-consultation fair recently held at Makati Shangri-La, in Makati City.
Formally called 3.5 Generation AI (artificial intelligence) IVF Protocol, the latest technology combines the PGS (pre-implantation genetic screening) procedure with a time-lapse machine to assure of an 80 percent chance of successful pregnancy, according to doctor Pin-Yao Lin, the hospital’s director of the Reproductive Medicine Center.
