Foundation pushes nipa palm processing

The Foundation for Rural Enterprise and Ecology Development of Mindanao Inc. (Freedom) has set a series of trainings in select parts of the country to promote nipa palm-based processing.

Among the products that can be made from nipa palm is sugar or sweetener, which has alower glycemic index, making it a possible safe choice for diabetics. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
