Police on Sunday said they would not allow political rallies and other similar activities without permits within a 50-meter radius of the Edsa Shrine on February 25 to mark the 33rd anniversary of a popular revolt that toppled the Marcos regime.
Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran Jr., chief of police of Mandaluyong City where the shrine is located, warned that violators of the no-permit policy would be arrested.
