A severe tropical storm is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state-run weather bureau said on Thursday.
The weather disturbance, with international name "Wutip," was spotted 2,775 kilometers east of Mindanao, moving at a speed of 29 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 105 kph and gustiness of up to 130 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
