Foreign portfolio net inflows down 24.6 percent in February

PORTFOLIO investment transactions in February this year slowed to net inflows of $2.1 billion, reflecting a 24.6-percent decrease compared to the $2.8-billion net inflows registered in January.

According to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), foreign portfolio investments (FPI) for the month of February resulted to net inflows 24 percent lower than the figure for January because of market correction, and profit taking amid encouraging news on corporate earnings.
