A rally was staged in front of Manila City Hall on Monday against the Manila Bay reclamation projects, which Mayor Joseph Estrada approved.

The Baseco People's Alliance led the protest against the expansion projects involving the 50-hectare Manila Harbour Center by the R-II Builders, Inc., the 50-ha. project of the Baseco Rehabilitation and Dev't., Inc. (Bradi), the 40-ha. PRA reclamation project and the 407-ha. City of Pearl project, which a Chinese firm UAA Kinming Dev't. Corp. had proposed.
