CHICAGO: Black, openly gay actor Jussie Smollett of the US television program 'Empire' was hospitalized on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) in Chicago following a possibly hate-motivated attack in which assailants tied a rope around his neck, police and his co-workers said.
