Police round up 19,000 offenders in Quezon City following 12-day anti-criminality operations

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) rounded up 19,209 offenders during a 12-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) implemented in preparation for the upcoming midterm elections.

QCPD Director Joselito Esquivel Jr. said that a total of 25 individuals were arrested in 418 Commission on Election (Comelec) checkpoints, resulting in the confiscation of 24 short, 4 long firearms, 272 assorted ammunition, 11 bladed weapons and 2 hand grenades.
