IN honor of his contributions to the development of Quezon City, Mayor Herbert Bautista led the unveiling of the new Don Alejandro Roces Sr., monument at the park that bears the name of the press freedom icon in Barangay Paligsahan, on Jan. 14.

“He was influential in creating the entire city by talking to the Tuazon family so that we can carve a big portion from their hacienda, a space to situate the offices of the national government,” Mayor Bautista said.
