Searca, Thai school eye program for poor farmers

BANGKOK, Thailand: The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca) based in the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) and Kasetsart University (KU) in Thailand held initial discussions on how to help poor Southeast Asian farmers, with the aim of combining the center’s approach to promoting inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD) and the university’s Knowledge of the Land Program anchored on the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP).
