Pope appoints new Daet bishop

Pope Francis has named Fr. Rex Andrew Alarcon from the Caceres archdiocese as the new bishop of Daet in Camarines Norte.

Alarcon, 48, succeeds Rev. Fr. Gilbert Garcera, who was appointed to the Archdiocese of Lipa (Batangas) on Feb. 2, 2017.
