5M devotees expected to join Black Nazarene procession on Jan 9 -- organizers

FIVE million devotees are expected to join this year’s Traslacion, according to the organizers of the annual Feast of the Black Nazarene.

Held every January 9, “the gathering is a huge one, and it increases by millions every year,” Monsignor Hernando Coronel, rector of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo Church) in Manila, said in a press briefing on Thursday.
