Prison gangs disband at national penitentiary in bid to end ‘syndicate, street’ crimes

TWELVE prison gangs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) agreed to disband and end their criminal activities inside and outside the national penitentiary -- a gesture that the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said could mark the start of a decrease in street crimes in the country.
