The country’s chief economist expects 2019 to be a better year, with growth to be driven by the mid-term elections and continued infrastructure spending.

“The year 2019, I think, will be better. (Growth) will be closer to 7 percent,’’ Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia told reporters in an interview.
