Wealth in the countryside

ROSALINA DE LA PAZ-MAGAT

THE UP School of Economics Alumni Association (UPSEAA) recently held its strategic planning session in Boracay, timed with the reopening of the famous tourist destination. The occasion gave us a breather away from maddening traffic of Metro Manila and the opportunity to observe and see firsthand the progress of the rehabilitation of Boracay after its six-month closure. It also gave us the opportunity to get a feel of the countryside, for me especially as I had traveled to Kalibo first before proceeding to Caticlan on the way to Boracay.
