The entry of a high-powered computed tomography (CT) in the Philippines marks a potential to help curb mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases and cancer, the top two clinical causes of death in the country.

This was the statement of St. Luke’s Medical Center’s President and Chief Executive Officer medical doctor Arturo De La Peña as the hospital unveiled its acquisition of an advanced technology CT scan equipment in its Quezon City branch on Monday.
