THERE is nothing wrong with the Philippine government's pursuit of joint exploration of natural resources with China, Malacañang said on Monday, as it downplayed communist leader Jose Maria "Joma" Sison's claim that it was a "clear act of treason" on the part of President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a press briefing, Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said that there was no legal basis to support Sison's allegation against the government.
