A party-list lawmaker and a former House secretary general were injured in a helicopter crash in Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac on Thursday.

Rep. Anthony Bravo of Cooperative-National Association of Training Centers for Cooperatives (COOP-NATCCO) party and former House secretary general Cesar Pareja suffered minor injuries.

Air Force Brigadier General Ed Libago said the Sokol helicopter crashed inside Camp Ernesto Rabina Air Base. The chopper was carrying 10 passengers.

The Office of the Secretary General confirmed to The Manila Times that Bravo and Pareja attended a firing marksmanship activity in the province.

“Thanks for your prayers. The pilot suffered head injuries and the crew has a broken arm. I have minor scratches along with most of the passengers,” Pareja said in a text message to reporters.

“The helicopter crashed just as we were about to land in Crow Valley,” he added.

Sen. Ralph Recto, a reservist, witnessed the accident.

The chopper was about to land when it crashed.
