P8-M smuggled rice intercepted in Basilan

ABOUT P8 million worth of smuggled rice was intercepted by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the military off the coast of Maluso in Basilan.

Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Arman Balilo on Wednesday said the illegal shipment was loaded on motor launch R/J Express when flagged by BRP Cape San Agustin, which was on a security patrol in the area.
