After pioneering the roll-out of electric-jeepneys in the country, Muntinlupa City launched another sustainable green transport initiative in cooperation with the Department of Energy (DOE), the first in Metro Manila.

The local government of Muntinlupa and DOE unveiled the Market Transformation through Introduction of Energy Efficient Electric Vehicles Project, dubbed as E-Trike Project, to promote energy efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide footprint in the tricycle transport sector.
