A British project to race a jet-powered car at 1,000 mph (1,609 kph) has hit the skids and needs new funds if it is to smash the world’s land speed record.
The Bloodhound Super Sonic Car (SSC) is essentially built, but some $35 million (P1.8 billion) is urgently needed or the venture will collapse.
