Metro Manila disaster council orders billboards taken down as ‘Rosita’ threatens

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday ordered advertisers and leasers to take down billboards on major thoroughfares as typhoon “Rosita” threatened the metropolis.

“In anticipation of typhoon Rosita, we directed billboard owners to take down their tarpaulins, especially the big ones, for the safety of both motorists and commuters,” MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim said in a statement.
