Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) director general Charito Plaza said she is amenable to increase the tax on gross income earned (GIE) from the current five percent to seven percent.
“I’d like to increase it to 7 percent to increase the share of the local government units. At present, the province has no share, only the municipality or city where the ecozone is located,” Plaza told reporters in an interview.
