RETIRED Major General Jovito Palparan Jr. who was convicted for the kidnapping of two University of the Philippines (UP) students, was transferred to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on Wednesday night, the Philippine Army said.

Lt. Col. Louie Villanueva, Army spokesman, also said that with Palparan were two other convicted military officials -- retired Lt. Col. Felipe Anotado Jr. and Staff Sgt. Edgardo Osorio.
