Top ice skaters will test their mettle as the Philippine Open Short Track National Championship unfolds today at the SM Megamall Ice Skating rink in Mandaluyong City.

Asian Skating Union Council sports director Christopher Martin said they would be using the tournament to recruit members for the Philippine Short Track team that will compete in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in Manila.
