TYPHOON 'Paeng' (international name: Trami) slightly weakened and will have no direct effect over the country, the state-run weather bureau said on Wednesday.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the typhoon was last seen 725 kilometers (km) east of Basco Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 170 kilometers per hour (kph), and gusts of up to 210 kph.
