AFP chief eyes task force vs insurgency

Armed Forces chief Gen. Carlito Galvez Jr. on Sunday said the military will ask President Rodrigo Duterte to activate a task force whose sole duty will be to end the communist insurgency.

Galvez said the military has been victorious in its fight against the New People’s Army, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines.
