THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday said overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by flight cancellations due to supertyphoon "Ompong" could avail themselves of P5,000 in cash aid.
They are required to personally appear at the DFA Assistance Desks at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport [NAIA] and the Clark International Airport [CIA] and submit their airline ticket showing their original date of departure, re-issued ticket with new departure date, employment contract and overseas employment certificate. The DFA teams will remain in the airport terminals from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m until Monday, September 17 to assist cater stranded OFWs.
