In celebration of the country’s diverse and rich indigenous cultures, a group of budding fashion apprentices took inspiration from the selection of native weaves and intricate embroideries for a unique exhibit that radiated the marriage of revered Filipino heritage and present-day fashion.

The vibrant garments featured in the Contemporary Katutubo Children’s Wear Collection, designed by the student-artists from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB)’s Fashion Design and Merchandising Program, were specially crafted as part of the distinct and sprawling display of cultural artworks for the institution’s annual Student Art Open House 2018 themed “Katutubo: Interpretations and Reinterpretations of Indigenous Philippine Cultures.”
