In appreciation of his generosity and support for his alma mater’s performing arts student organizations, the De La Salle University-Manila honored McDonald’s Philippines Chairman and Founder George T. Yang, an advocate for youth development through employment, education and the arts.
DLSU-Manila unveiled three new rooms in the Enrique Razon Sports Complex (ESRC), all of which come with a marker citing Yang’s contribution to the local performing arts industry. The “George T. Yang Performing Arts Studio 1 Chorale” was built for DLSU’s premiere chorale group which has consistently bagged awards from local and international competitions. The “George T. Yang Performing Arts Studio 2 Innersoul” will be used by the university’s contemporary singing group, Innersoul. Lastly, the “George T. Yang Performing Arts Studio 3 Lasallian Dance Company” will be used by the La Salle Dance Company (LSDC) which has also garnered countless recognition from the dance community through various local and international competitions.
