A LOW pressure area (LPA) north of Luzon is enhancing the southwest monsoon or “habagat” and may likely intensify into a tropical depression, the state-run weather bureau said on Thursday.
As of 9 a.m., the LPA was 305 kilometers (km) northwest of extreme Northern Luzon but still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to senior weather specialist Meno Mendoza of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
