THE low pressure area (LPA) off Batanes exited Philippine territory but two other nearby tropical storms would continue to trigger monsoon rains, the state-run weather bureau said on Wednesday.

“Although it has chances of intensifying into a storm, the center of the LPA has already exited the borderline of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR),” weather specialist Gener Quitlong of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
