PARIS: THE Philippines was the world’s second most dangerous country for environmental activists, with 48 green advocates killed last year, a global rights watchdog said on Tuesday.
Brazil was the most dangerous, accounting for 57 of the more than 200 environmental activists murdered last year as government-sponsored killings linked to lucrative projects by vast agriculture multinationals soared.
