In October 2013, Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) devastated Eastern Visayas, crippling the city of Tacloban the most.

More than four years later—the very place where Douglas MacArthur landed to fulfil his promise to return to the Philippines during World War 2—has become a symbol of the Filipino’s undying resilience and hope for a better day.
