Magnitude 4.3 quake hits Samar -- Phivolcs

A MAGNITUDE 4.3 earthquake hit Samar on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake that struck at 1:02 p.m. was 47 kilometers (km) east of Catbalogan. It had a depth of 28 km and was tectonic in origin.
