In line with the 348th founding anniversary celebration of Makati, the city government through the barangay (village) will be implementing road closures and traffic rerouting on Saturday. The stretch of J.P. Rizal Street (from Villena Street to Makati Avenue) will be closed to traffic from 1 p.m. onward to make way for a free concert event to be held in the afternoon until midnight at the Poblacion Plaza. Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic and take alternate routes. For vehicles going to Manila: From J.P. Rizal Street, turn left on J.D. Villena Street, turn right to Gen. Luna Street, turn right to P. Burgos Street and left to J.P. Rizal Street toward destination. Vehicles going to Guadalupe area: From Antipolo Street, turn right on Osmeña Street, right to E. Zobel Street, then left to Valdez Street, turn right to Makati Avenue, left to Gil Puyat Ave., then take Kalayaan Flyover toward destination. Traffic enforcers will be deployed for assistance to motorists.
