Makati launches program to address obesity

Makati Mayor Abigail Binay supported the recent launch of a wellness program in the city to combat obesity, especially among pre-schoolers.

“Overnutrition should be a cause for concern as much as malnutrition. We should break the misconception that a fat child is ‘healthy’ because we are encouraging improper eating habits,” Binay said.
