Anti-drugs agency urged to shelve plan to test Grade 4 students for drugs

SEN. Francis Pangilinan on Monday urged the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to shelve its plan to subject Grade 4 students to mandatory drug testing and instead go after druglords to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the country.

The senator said a law 'was needed' to implement the government's proposed mandatory drug test for children as young as 10 years old or those in grade 4.
