THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) stressed on Saturday that the search for a new telecommunications industry player would push through, denying a Facebook post that claimed the initiative was already “dead.”

In a phone interview with The Manila Times, Eliseo Rio, acting DICT chief, debunked Democracy.net co-founder Pierre Galla’s post on social media, which claimed that “the third telco initiative is DEAD. Sorry, Pilipinas.”
