Robredo calls for BBL passage in recognition of ‘selfless Muslims’

VICE PRESIDENT Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo renewed her call for the passage of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) at the end of Ramadan, saying that its passage is a fitting recognition to the Muslims’ selflessness.

“We hope that the Bangsamoro Basic Law will soon be passed in a form that adequately reflects the hopes and dreams of our dear Bangsamoro brothers and sisters, to end their long-drawn suffering and fulfill their desire for lasting peace,” Robredo said in a statement for the Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, considered the holiest month in Islamic culture, according to research.
