Filipino bets shine in pre-World Cup event

MOSCOW, Russia: Filipino young ambassadors Aj Boy Victoriano and Matteo De Venecia’s Team Komodo Dragon notched a runner-up finish in the 6th Gazprom Football for Friendship (F4F) World Championship at the Sapsan Arena on Tuesday night here (early Wednesday in Manila).

Komodo Dragon beat three other squads to rule Group H before downing Big Turtle in the quarterfinals, 2-0, and Humpback Whale in the semifinals, 2-1.
