THE Manila Police District Sta. Mesa Station (MPD PS-8) and Pandacan Station (MPD PS-10) arrested on Friday five people in separate operations of the MPD Simultaneous Anti-criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO). Arrested by the PS-8 Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) along P. Casal Street, San Miguel were Norodin Saronai, 45 and Samsai Saronai, 28. Confiscated from the suspects were three small heat-sealed sachets containing shabu and P300 buy-bust money. Arrested by the PS-10 SDET along Beata Street, Pandacan at 11:30 p.m. on Friday were John Neil Sallao, 21; Joshua Cabarle, 21; and John Clien Pangilinan, 19. The suspects were identified as jobless residents of the area of operation. Seized from them were a small glass pipe containing partially burnt leaves suspected to be marijuana and one small heat-sealed sachet containing the same illegal substance. They were brought to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRMMC) for medico-legal tests before being brought to the police stations for documentation and temporary detention. The confiscated pieces of evidence were also turned over to the MPD Crime Laboratory Office (MPD-CLO) for appropriate forensic and chemical examinations. They will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and will be presented before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings.
