Robert Besana’s contemporary martyrdom

“Non in cruciatu; Sedcausa quae facet martyrem” is the Latin transcription of Saint Augustine of Hippo’s declaration: “It is not the punishment but the cause that makes the martyr.”

Following this declaration, visual artist Robert Besana is holding his ninth solo exhibition “Non in Cruciatu; Sedcausa Quae Facet Martyrem” at ArtistSpace in Makati.
