The Pinagkaisang Samahan ng Mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) – Cebu chapter said it will join a nationwide protest-rallies on Monday and Tuesday against the government’s plan to phase out old jeepneys but only for half-a-day.
Greg Perez, Piston–Cebu coordinator, said on Monday they will also ask for a dialogue with officials of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Region 7 since they were not given a chance to air their side on the transport modernization plan.
