SOCIAL networking service Twitter announced it is stepping up efforts to make its online platform safer from offensive users and has suspended 10 times more abusive accounts daily this year compared to last year.

“We promised to do more with our technology. We’re now taking action on 10x the number of abusive accounts every day compared to the same time last year,” Twitter said in a post over the weekend, without disclosing the actual figures.
