LandBank to triple lending to farmers, fishers over next 6 yrs

STATE-OWNED Land Bank of the Philippines has committed to increase lending to small farmers and fisherfolk by 200 percent over the next six years, according to the Department of Finance (DOF).

In a statement over the weekend, the DOF said new LandBank President Alex Buenaventura said the bank's lending to small farmers and fisherfolk will increase to P115 billion from P37.9 billion.
