A long-time serving official of the corporate regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been appointed as its new commissioner.
President Rodrigo Duterte on December 2 signed the appointment papers of Emilio Benito Aquino as the new SEC commissioner. He replaces Commissioner Manuel Huberto Gaite whose term expired on March 11, 2016.
