LEGAZPI CITY: Eight years after Typhoon Reming, Legazpi City has transformed into the country’s first so-called “all weather city” with the construction of pumping stations worth P2.1 billion and a seawall to protect the coastal villages.

The pumping stations built in three coastal villages of Legazpi was funded by the national government to address the peren- nial flooding at the Oro Site, Penaranda, Cabangan, San Ro-que, Sabang, Lapu-Lapu and other low lying villages.
