'Egay' triggers flooding, brownouts in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY: Torrential rains and strong winds in Negros Occidental brought by Tropical Storm 'Egay' over the weekend caused flooding and brownouts in some parts of the province.

Some 100 families composed of 500 persons were displaced by strong winds and flooding that damaged their houses in Valladolid town in southern Negros, a report of the Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD) showed.
