University of the East standout Justine Gail Tinio bagged the country’s first medal in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games after finishing second in women’s individual foil of the fencing competitions on Wednesday at the OCBC Arena Hall 2 in Singapore.

The 19-year-old Tinio settled for silver medal as she absorbed a 7-15 loss at the hands of Wang Wenying of Singapore in the championship round.
